REVIEW: GA-Z68-Gaming - motherboard for gaming computers on Intel Z68 chipset

GIGABYTE has another motherboard based on Intel Z68 chipset. New device is called GA-Z68-Gaming and is positioned as a good basis to build a gaming computer, which will use second generation Intel Core processors.

Looking only at external design executed in the style of G1-Killer motherboards it becomes clear that GA-Z68-Gaming is not just another motherboard based on Intel Z68 chipset. Just like its older sisters G1.Assassin, G1.Sniper and G1.Guerrilla GA-Z68 is equipped with a Bigfoot Networks Killer E2100 network card and Creative Soundblaster X-Fi audio processor.

The developers have equipped this motherboard with two PCI Express x16 slots (supports installation of two video cards in SLI or CrossFire). It also has two PCI and two more PCI Express x1, and four slots for DDR3 RAM. GA-Z68-Gaming features seven ports SATA 6 Gb / sec for HDD. The rear panel features eight USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ones, one eSATA port with speed up to 6 Gb / s and HDMI output, PS / 2 port, 3.5 mm sockets for a multi-channel acoustic and S / PDIF.

There is no information on GA-Z68-Gaming release date. Cost data is also unavailable but one can assume that the product will be offered at a price higher than their other GIGABYTE Motherboards based on Z68 chipset. Which means it will cost more than GIGABYTE Z68X-UD7.
