Acer's Chrome-Powered AC700 Available in June, or July

While Samsung is shipping its Series 5 Chromebook, people are wondering when the Acer counterpart would follow suit. Good news: Pre-orders for Acer AC700 are now accepted. The Chrome OS-powered ultraportable laptop features an Intel Atom N570 dual-core processor, 2GB of DDR3 memory, 16GB SSD, 11.6-inch HD widescreen CineCrystalTM LED-backlit LCD, integrated 1.3MP HD webcam, USB 2.0, HDMI output, Adobe Flash 10.1, and a 4-in-1 card reader. The Acer AC700 boots in less than 10 seconds and has a battery life of up to six hours.

Acer has announced that the AC700 is available “this month” in the United States.
