NGR: The Panasonic Disney Lumix Camera Does Not Scream Disney

The Panasonic Disney Lumix Camera

Panasonic Japan has just unveiled its special-edition Disney-themed Lumix camera. The Lumix DMC-FP7D (the “D” stands for Disney) is a point-and-shoot digital camera that has a 16-megapixel CCD sensor, motion JPEG video recording capability at 1,280 x 720 resolution and 24 frames per second, a touch control user interface, and a 3.5-inch TFT display at the back.

Although the exterior of the camera is quite subtle on its Disney-esque design, which is a good thing, this Lumix camera is equipped with Mickey Mouse on-and-off screens, icons, and photo frames.

The Lumix Disney camera will hit Japanese retail on June 10 for about US$370. We doubt this will reach stateside, but expect this to become available on specialized online stores that offer Japanese gadgets to buyers outside the Land of the Rising Sun.
