M. Video: a demand for gaming consoles for the year grew by 30%

The company "M. Video" summed up the sales of consoles in the I half of 2011. The main trend in this market: gamers a massive shift in the console. This is due, according to the company, with a decrease in average prices for game consoles and content for them.

Playing the direction of "M. Video" on the I half of 2011 has become the most dynamic. Like for like 6 months (as of June 20, 2011) was 30%. Russian gamers are moving to the Western model, are increasingly preferring to play the console rather than PC.

During the first half of "M. Video" sold about 60 thousand gaming devices. At the same time showed the highest dynamic console XBOX and PlayStation - increase over the same period last year, 52% and 20% respectively - this is due to the introduction of contactless controllers for consoles games: Kinect and PS Move. During the year, analysts predict demand for the preservation of existing consoles, and by the end of the year will be implemented over 200 thousand game consoles.

Over the past six months, there was a decline of interest of buyers to portable game consoles, with support for 3D - this is due to the high price and lack of sufficient content.
