GADGET NEWS >> Adobe CEO: Android Will Take Over iOS

 Shantanu Narayen

Adobe’s CEO Shantanu Narayen (pictured) has made a bold statement that Google’s Android Honeycomb OS would overtake Apple’ iOS in the battle for tablet domination. The reason? Because the iPad does not support Flash, duh?

As you may have long known, Apple CEO Steve Jobs has been against the use of Flash on all of its devices, saying that the software is insecure and crash-inducing. It may be Job’s genuine opinion, but Narayen believes that the real issue has to do with the two companies’ different business strategies. “It’s all about control of the applications that you can run on that platform that bring that platform to life,” he stresses.

He also reiterated that there is no such thing as Flash on any iDevice. However, if developers are able to build applications using Flash and compile it to the iOS, that would work.
