White box tablets share win IPad alternative

Deliveries of shelves in good markets of little-known vendors increase as clients to avoid premium as Apple iPad tablets, DisplaySearch said in research published on Tuesday.

Tablets of white box shipments are growing in emerging markets where customers are sensitive, said DisplaySearch price. China is the largest market for tablet white box PC, while first-quarter shipments rose also in other markets such as America Latin and Eastern Europe.

"Despite a few problems of quality of these tablets of white box, they remain attractive to conscious buyers, like students, which are based on prices, the value shopping," said Richard Shim, a senior analyst for DisplaySearch, in a statement.

The tablets of white box, which in some cases, are knock-offs of top-name brands such as the iPad, might have less material such as lower quality screens, said DisplaySearch. The white box tablet can use signs that is rejected by major brands, says DisplaySearch.

Many white box tablets are sold in stores in retail or through individual sites of retail prices ranging from 75 $ to 300 $ US. Some tablets have unrecognizable brand names, come without support and cannot be returned.

Some white box tablets have processors core running less 1 GHz and the old versions of Android, but offer Wi - Fi, USB, slot 3 G ports and cameras that could make useful devices. Expeditions in the world of white box tablets were $ 1.9 million in the first quarter of this year, compared with 567,000 units in the fourth quarter of last year. Apple has been the high compressed seller during the quarter, with 54% of the market, followed by other vendors, including officials of the tablets of white box, which took 20% of the market.
