ViewSonic shows compressed using the new Intel's Atom chip

ViewSonic has unveiled a tablet of 10-inch running Android and Windows on the latest Atom Processor Intel, Oak Trail, at the Computex show.

10Pro ViewPad runs 2.2 Android and Windows 7 Professional, and users can switch between the two using an icon on the screen. Personal ViewSonic expect buyers to use Windows primarily for work by the largest number of applications available for the platform business.

The device will be valued between US$ 699 and $799 when it goes on sale in Taiwan in June, said Viewsonic. The company has yet to decide when the device will be sold in other countries.

10Pro ViewPad weighs 800 grams heavier than the iPad Apple 2 to approximately 600 grams. ViewSonic showed a briefing of news at the Computex Taipei Monday show.

It will be one of the first tablets to use chips from Oak Trail of Intel, which was unveiled in April. Apple, Motorola and most other Tablet makers now use produced by ARM processors because they are considered as more energy efficient.

Oak Trail, more formally known as the Z670 of the atom, is designed to give the battery life long of tablets, something that intel believes will help the company to capture a greater share of the compressed flea market.

In April, Intel stated that its customers are 35 design tablets with the chip, with some of those that go on sale early in May. Other tablets running Intel Oak Trail processor should also be shown to the Computex this week.

ViewSonic also showed off the coast of a tablet with a 7 inch screen, ViewPad x 7. It runs Android 3.0 on an NVidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor and weighs only 380 grams. The company plans to sell to Taiwan in July.
