Sony stops production of DSLRs Alpha 850, Alpha 290 and Alpha 390

Resource Amateur Photographer reports that Sony plans to significantly revise its line of digital SLR cameras, stopping the production of models that have similar versions. So in July or August this year will be discontinued full-frame DSLRs Sony Alpha 850, which was announced in August 2009. The decision to cease production of the 24.6-megapixel camera has been taken due to the fact that its specifications and the cost is almost identical to the flagship camera companies - Sony Alpha 900. In this flagship model is more expensive and the 850 I assumed as a budget alternative.

In addition, Sony representatives have confirmed that in the future will not mirror the entry-level phones Sony Alpha 290 and Sony Alpha 390. Their production has ceased, although the announcement of these devices took place only in June last year. In place of these simple cameras with a 14.2-megapixel matrices come mirrorless-series Sony NEX. Appear at Sony thought that the entry-level DSLRs are less attractive than cameras with interchangeable lenses. Currently, the cost of most fiscal Sony Alpha 290 is about 19,000 rubles a whale lens, and Sony NEX-3 - about 17 000.
