REVIEW: Verizon Wireless Expands LTE Coverage


Verizon Wireless has expanded its LTE network in nine new cities, making its customers take advantage of their 4G-compliant smartphones such as HTC Thunderbolt. These cities include Mobile and Montgomery in Alabama; Greater Fairfield and New Haven in Connecticutt; Gainesville, Pensacola, and Tallahassee, Florida; Fayetteville-Lumberton in North Carolina; and Bryan-College Station and Temple-Killeen in Texas.

The carrier has also expanded coverage in major cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, New Orleans, and Philadelphia. This week’s expansion brings the list of LTE cities to 55, over 35 percent of Verizon’s 147-city target by end of 2011.
