Optiplex Super fast computer from Dell with control of flat panel LCD monitor

Refurbished computers are a great way to get lots of older technology for a discount price. The computer itself was made up to a maximum of up a bit with time and make it a little more marketable. No technology of fine points here, but the price is good enough.

This refurbished desktop computer comes to about $225. The system includes:

17? monitor2.8GHz processor1GB Pentium 4 memory40GB hard driveFast Ethernet8 x USBCD driveWindows XP

Pentium 4 chips are about 7 years. They use more power than modern processors get too hot unless overclocked. My work computer is a 2.4 GHz Pentium 4 and at home, I still have a 2.0 GHz my main computer. And they are fine, memory upgrades, which includes the this computer as a standard, are the only change, I have done in recent years.

The hard disk is on the small side. But then again all the data on my own computer would not be performing. To browse the web, simple games and make some documents it is more than enough. You can run out of space fairly quickly if you save DVD on your disk hard but. Fortunately that you cannot save any DVD on the hard disk because the standard drive is a CD player only.

We will make the 17? monitor. The resolution will display all the web pages in full-width, but not well leave too much room for anything on the screen.

1 GB of memory is sufficient. With Windows XP, or even a whole bunch of applications complete that very fast. The system will not manage a tremendous amount of multitasking, so keep the programs running in the background to a minimum.

Fast Ethernet for network connectivity is good, eight USB ports allow easy extension, and Windows XP works well most of the time, don't forget to upgrade to service pack 3. Includes speakers, keyboard and mouse.
