MTS will provide the Interior Ministry mobile access to information resources

Telecommunications operator MTS has announced the launch of a project to provide access to information resources of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Ministry of Internal Affairs for mobile services.

In six cities in the Central Region (Ivanovo, Kostroma, Tver, Smolensk, Yaroslavl, Kursk) was put into operation the subsystem of mobile access to information resources of the Interior based on the MTS network.

Deploying a mobile subsystem allows employees of the Interior, which is part hiking clothes and mobile patrol, road patrol services, as well as other mobile groups, special purpose, to gain remote access to information databases ATS and work with them on the spot events. In addition, the crews of DPS and PPP access to a system of geo-adopted in the Russian Interior Ministry, to determine the location of moving objects through the system GLONASS / GPS.

Organization of remote access to information resources through the Ministry of Interior of the cellular network involves the creation of secure communication channels for public communication and user authentication. Technology used by MTS, helped to create a dedicated Internet access point, to organize, according to the operator, a secure wireless connection and provide law enforcement officers safe and fully controlled remote access to corporate information resources through the channels EDGE/3G.
