Israel calls on Apple to pull Palestinian app

Israel has asked Apple to pull an app that it believes could spur terrorism.
Public Diplomacy Minister Yuli-Yoel Edelstein has written to Steve Jobs asking him to remove from the Apple App Store an Arabic-language app called ThirdIntifada, which he claimed was anti-Israeli and incited violence.
According to the complaint, the app included information about protests – some of them violent – planned against the country as well as links to radical sites.
"I am convinced that you are aware of this type of application's ability to unite many toward an objective that could be disastrous," Edelstein wrote in the letter, according to Reuters.
According to EdelStein, the developers of the app had already had a Facebook page removed after complaints from Israeli authorities.
