Ericsson drives the multiscreen TV experience at Communicasia

Innovative new solutions driving new revenue for operators and experiences for consumers
Empowering new TV experiences across multiple devices
Two major new encoding solutions will be on show
Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) will demonstrate how its ‘End to Endless’ (E2E) television solutions are driving the delivery of more content to more consumers across multiple networks at CommunicAsia 2011, Singapore, June 21- 24 2011 (booth 1M2-01). Ericsson will show how its E2E solutions are helping service providers in Asia turn complexity into profitability and enabling them to differentiate their TV services to deliver the ultimate user experience in an interactive multiscreen world.

"We are witnessing rapid infrastructure changes in the Asia Pacific market as consumer desire throughout the region shapes today’s television into an ‘anytime, anywhere’ experience. New devices and consumer behavior is driving up video traffic and putting increased bandwidth pressures on networks," said Staffan Pehrson, Vice President and Head of Solution Area TV, Ericsson.

"Digital penetration in the APAC region is set to rise dramatically over the next five years, which presents a number of challenges to operators; not only in the acquisition and processing of high quality content but also in the management and efficient delivery of large volumes of video, media and audio across multiple platforms to multiple devices. Ericsson’s expertise in delivering next generation TV solutions to customers in the Asia Pacific market is invaluable as we enable them to bring the desired Individual TV Experience to consumers."
