NTT DOCOMO, INC. announced the BlackBerry® Bold™ 9780 smartphone, a premium and stylish smartphone powered by the BlackBerry® 6 operating system, will go on sale on June 29.
BlackBerry 6 delivers an approachable and engaging experience that’s powerful and easy to use. It includes a rich WebKit-based browser that renders HTML web pages quickly and beautifully for a great browsing experience. The browser offers fluid navigation using the handset’s optical trackpad, and includes tabs for accessing multiple sites simultaneously.
Additional features of BlackBerry 6 include expanded messaging capabilities with intuitive features to simplify the management of social networking and RSS feeds (Social Feeds), and integrated access to BBM™ (BlackBerry® Messenger), Facebook®, Twitter™ and various instant messaging applications on the BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone. It also features redesigned Music and Pictures applications and a new universal search feature that enables more effective searches for content on the smartphone as well as the Internet, or to discover applications on BlackBerry App World™. BlackBerry 6 also allows users to create dedicated icons on the home screen for quick access to frequently visited web sites and favorite contacts.
The BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone from DOCOMO offers a compelling blend of features, performance and design. It is a light and compact smartphone featuring an incredibly easy-to-use QWERTY keyboard and optical trackpad for fast and easy text input. Using BlackBerry’s unique push technology, messages are automatically delivered from up to 10 supported email accounts, including i-mode™ mail and social networking messages.
