In the annual study, Digi-Key retains its leadership position from 2010 across all product categories for Most Preferred Distributor and Top Distributor by Patronage. Categories include: semiconductors, connectors and interconnects, passives, electromechanical devices and power.
When asked “Which distributor websites have you visited in the past month?” 82 percent of respondents had visited the Digi-Key website, pushing Digi-Key visits more than 30 percent higher than any other distributor site visited.
Digi-Key ranked highest in 11 website attributes with respondents ranking the company #1 for the site’s Overall Look and Feel, Quality and Relevance Of Content, Comprehensive Technical Information, Accurate Search Engine and Ease Of Navigation. Respondents also ranked Digi-Key as #1 for categories that indicate the site is Well-Organized and allows customers to Easily Order Product, Access “Self Help” Support and Access Tools That Help Simplify the User’s Job.
“According to the study, 94 percent of our customers will consider purchasing from us again in the future,” said Mark Larson, president and COO, Digi-Key. “We strive to be the number one choice for all buyers and continue to make improvements to our component offerings, design support and customer service to make it easier to locate and purchase exactly what each customer needs.”
