ArmenTel announced the expansion of 3G network

"ArmenTel» (TM Beeline) has announced a major expansion of 3G network in Armenia. As of June 2011 the third generation network Beeline launched in cities Vayk, Dilijan, Ijevan, Martuni, as well as in Aramus, Balaovite, Harney, and Nor Dzoraghbyur Achne. In parallel with the expansion of coverage of dozens of new stations commissioned 3G in the cities of Yerevan, Gyumri and Kapan, thus significantly increase the capacity of the existing third generation network in these cities.

In addition, the company within the next month will launch a 3G network in Agarak, Ashotsk, Baird, Yeghegnadzor, Kajaran, Maralik, Meghri Noyemberyan, Sanahin, Sisian, Stepanavan, Talin, and Tashir Chambarak.

Note that ArmenTel is the first operator to implement a cellular network, the third generation in Armenia in June 2008 - a commercial pilot, and in September of 2008 - in commercial use.
