Samsung Mobile and Sprint has announced their upcoming green smartphone that built with recycled plastics and recyclable packaging, called Samsung Replenish. Sprint Samsung Replenish made from more than 80 percent recyclable materials, with an outer casing built of 34% post-consumer recycled plastic, energy efficient and built with fewer environmentally sensitive materials.

Sprint Samsung Replenish Eco smartphone meets Sprint Eco-Criteria with the packaging is fully recyclable,  and comes with a full-featured messaging. It’s a slide-out phone with four-row QWERTY keyboard and has social networking shortcuts to connect with Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. This Eco-Friendly handset features Energy efficient with a charger that meets the EC Code of Conduct on Energy Efficiency of External Power Supplies and Sprint Green ID pack provide instant personalization in a single download with apps, widgets and mobile shortcuts, like Earth911.com, Green America or National Audubon Society.

The Samsung Replenish for Sprint is powered by a 600MHz Qualcomm processor, Adreno 200 GPU, 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display with 240 x 320 pixels and support portrait and landscape orientation, a 2.0 Megapixel camera, a 2 GB microSD card with support for up to 32 GB, 3.5mm headphone jack, microUSB port, GPS and 1160 mAh battery provide up to 5.40 hours for talk time or up to 217 hours for standby time. For connectivity, the Sprint Eco freindly smartphone offers WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, 3G and runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS.

Sprint Samsung Replenish measures in 123 x 60 x 11 mm with weight 116 g. You can purchase the Samsung Replenish smartphone on May 8 in three color versions (black, blue, and pink) with price tag at $49.99 with a two-year service agreement. Sprint will also be waiving the $10 monthly premium monthly data charges to make it easier for customers to make eco-friendly buying decisions.
