Review: Dell Precision M4600 and Precision M6600 notebook

 Dell Precision M6600

Dell has officaly announced their two Precision workstations laptop to market, namely Precision M4600 and Precision M6600. Dell Precision M4600 and Dell Precision M6600 notebook based on Intel Huron River platform with new NVIDIA Quadro mobile GPUs provide an excellent balance between mobility and processing with graphics performance and meets MIL-STD 810G tested for extreme temperatures, vibration, dust, altitude and shock.

Precision M4600 Specs

Dell Precision M4600 is powered by Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7 processors, a 1GB AMD FirePro M5950, a 2GB NVIDIA Quadro 2000M or 2000M graphics, a 15.6 inch HD or FHD display which support a PremierColor 100% color correct RGB LED display with IPS technology, up to 32GB RAM, up to 750GB Hard disk drive, built-in webcam, optional touch display and weighs 6.3 pounds. Other specifications of the Dell M4600 notebook includes two USB 3.0 port, one combination USB 2.0 and eSATA, two USB 2.0 port, optional fingerprint reader, VGA port, DisplayPort and HDMI port to connect with external monitor.

Precision M6600 Specs

Dell Precision M6600 laptop is powered by Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7 processors, a 2GB Nvidia Quadro 3000M, 2GB Quadro 4000M, 4GB Quadro 5010M GPU or 2GB AMD FirePro M8900 support MD Eyefinity multi-display technology, a 17.3 inch HD or FHD display,  built-in webcam, optional touch display, three storage options (optical drive, an optional 2nd HDD and 128GB SSD mini card with RAID 5 support) and weighs about 7.5 pounds. Other specifications of the Dell M6600 includes optional fingerprint reader, two USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 port, one combination USB 2.0 and eSATA, VGA port, DisplayPort and HDMI port to connect with external monitor.

Features

Both of New Dell Precision Workstations notebook also support Dell System Track and Recovery service, FIPS certified encrypted HDD, Dell Laptop Encryption, Dell DataSafe Online Backup, support Math Journal software for solve mathematical and engineering problems and SpaceClaim software provides 3D Direct Modeling solutions and NVIDIA Optimus technology that intelligently detects graphics performance needed to help extend battery life. Dell is plan to launch the Dell Precision M4600 and Dell Precision M6600 workstations Laptop on May 10, but there is no informations about price tag at this moment.
