NMT Process

Characteristics of NMT

Reduce product thickness and weight
(1) Plastic partial thickness of up to 0.4mm
(2) Metallic base material of minimum thickness of up to 0.1mm

Exceptional structural integrity
(1) PPS,PBT mechanical tension of up to 120 kgf/cm²

Simplify product interior structural design
(1) 20-30% lower in production cost than traditional injection molding
(2) Increase production capability through simplification of production process

Favorable for subsequent surface treatment process with greater heat, acid and alkaline resistance compared with traditional plastic material.

NMT Process Scheme

The metallic surface has gone through acid treatment, forming intersecting dimples of nanoscale.
The metallic part undergoes the process of immersing in special solvent to ensure that it is covered with a thin film of amine.
Plastic material will be injected and melted within the nanoscale dimples, resulting in amine film going through chemical reaction.
On cooling, the plastic and metallic parts will be strongly bonded.
