Huawei together with "Angstrom" start production of telecommunication equipment in Zelenograd

The Russian company "Angstrom" and the Chinese company Huawei announced the signing of a cooperation agreement and the launch of a joint project to manufacture telecommunications equipment in the Moscow suburb of Zelenograd.

The agreement signed by the Director General of OOO Tehkompaniya Huawei Wang Kesyanom and President of NGO "Angstrom Alexei Tabolkinym, foresees the development of mutually beneficial scientific and technical cooperation in the field of microelectronics, a joint production of electronics and telecommunication equipment designed, inter alia, for building networks, LTE, and the implementation of the finished product carriers and corporate clients in the Russian Federation.

Under the agreement, "Angstroms" to produce equipment under the brand of Huawei's own industrial base to meet modern international standards. In addition to contract manufacture, under an exchange technological potential of the company will jointly develop solutions for telecommunications and communications.

In the first stage of technological partnership "Angstrom" will produce the following equipment Huawei: base stations LTE, equipment DWDM (OSN6800 and OSN1800), access equipment (MA5600T and MA5603T), IP-switch (S2300 and S3300 + S5300), equipment RRL (series RTN ), operator routers (series NE40/NE80/NEx).

Production, design capacity equal to 10 000 articles per year, will be commissioned in the IV quarter of 2011. Within the project "Angstrom" plans only in 2011 to invest in the production of 400 million rubles, and by 2013 will open up additional production facilities in special economic zone in Zelenograd.

For its part, Huawei will provide a unique design and technology, will train experts "Angstrom" and establish a system of quality control. This will allow the company to expand its presence in the Russian market with new opportunities for distribution of its products, following the licensing requirements of key customers and make more efficient logistics of their supply chain.
