Acer ships aspire Ultraportable laptop for $779

Acer Tuesday began three new laptops aspires, including a laptop thin and light around inch thickness and a price of US$ 779.99 of shipment.

The 3830T aspire timeline x has a 13.3-inch screen and includes a dual-core Core i5 processor, which is based on the microarchitecture of Sandy Bridge of Intel, Acer said in a statement. The laptop weighs about 1.87 kg (4.12 lbs) and varies in thickness between 22.1 mm and 29.1 millimeters.

The company also announced Timeline laptops, X with larger size screens that include more recent Core Intel i3 and i5 chips based on the Sandy Bridge microarchitecture. The Timeline X 4830T has a 14 screen inches and weighs 2.21 kilograms, while the Timeline X 5830T has a 15.6-inch screen and weighs 2.54 kg.

Companies such as Dell, Lenovo and Hewlett Packard have already announced light mobile base with new chips. Sandy Bridge chips are smaller and more efficient than the predecessors power, which allowed PC manufacturers build thinner laptops with the longest battery life.

The new Timeline X laptops provide the battery life up to nine hours with integrated graphics processor, and up to eight hours with a discrete graphics card, a company spokesman said. Acer is offering optional Nvidia 520 m graphics card on laptop computers.

Laptops have strong multimedia features with Dolby Home Theater v4, a set of process technologies and deliver crisp audio. Portable computers also include a HDMI (High - Definition Multimedia Interface) port to read the contents of the laptop on televisions high definition.

A USB 3.0 allows laptops to connect to high speed external storage devices and other components. The 4830T, which is priced from $699.99 and the 5830T, which starts at $599.99, also have DVD drives.

Laptops are now available in Europe and the United States. A spokesman for the company could not comment on the availability in Asia.

Acer was injured by growth slower than expected in the PC market in the world to the onslaught of the tablets. The company reiterated its commitment to develop PC, but is now put more resources to develop tablets. The company has recently introduced its first tablet Iconia.
