PURE’s Sirocco 550 gives you your five a day

UK electronics company PURE, has begun to carve a niche for itself in the digital radio marketplace following its string of affordable digital audio products including a well received portable waterproof wi-fi DAB system.
Sirocco-550
The Sirocco 550 is a major push into home audio for PURE, offering a fully connected wi-fi and DAB micro system for under £350. With five separate audio sources; iPod/iPhone dock, terrestrial and digital radio, wi-fi, CD player and USB connectivity, the Sirocco 550 provides 2X40W RMS output, more than enough really for your average lounge area. There’s a large OLED touch screen to make channel selection a breeze and remote just for couch potatoes. So, you can stream audio from your PC or media server; connect to thousands of internet radio stations and on-demand programmes; and utilise the handy facilities of Pure’s own online portal The Lounge, a cloud-based music service which allows you to tag tracks playing on any radio station and buy them directly from any PURE radio using its Flow songs service. The Lounge makes the thousands of stations and podcasts available on the internet manageable by letting you save your favourite stations, listen again programmes and podcasts.
PURE also has a selection of ambient sounds available to use from The Lounge depending on your mood and need; everything water based from the ocean surf to a babbling brook, or the lovely tweet of morning birdsong. Just the thing for a spot of living room de-stressing.
The Sirocco 550 promises to be a muscular home digital sound system at an entry level price.
