BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPROVES SHARE REPURCHASE PROGRAM
Waterloo, ON – Research In Motion Limited (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM), a world leader in the

Highlights:
• Revenue in the first quarter of fiscal 2012 grew 16% over the same quarter last year
• International revenue
1
in Q1 grew 67% year over year
• Gross margin in the quarter was approximately 44%, slightly higher than expected due to
product mix
• RIM launched the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet in North America and shipped
approximately 500,000 units in the first quarter
Q1 Fiscal 2012 Results:
Revenue for the first quarter of fiscal 2012 was $4.9 billion, down 12% from $5.6 billion in the previous

than expected outlook in the second quarter." said Jim Balsillie, Co-CEO at Research In Motion. "RIM’s
business is profitable and remains solid overall with growing market share in numerous markets around
the world and a strong balance sheet with almost $3 billion in cash. We believe that with the new

strong profit growth in the latter part of fiscal 2012."

RIM has hired the creators of HTC Sense?
Apparently, these steps are a company RIM has taken in connection with the desire to reach a wider audience of users of devices manufactured under the brand name BlackBerry. One of the drawbacks is obsolescent interface, which the company derives from the non-touch devices. Previously, it was announced that RIM has acquired another design studio - Astonishing Tribe, which developed the user interface for the first Android-smartphone T-Mobile G1. Recently, the company has significantly reduced its presence in the market, which declined from 19.7% to 12.9% estimated at Gartner Research. While sales in absolute numbers continue to grow.

BlackBerry Bold 9900: Start of sales until September?
Smartphone BlackBerry Bold 9900 before the official announcement was known as the BlackBerry Bold Touch, it really differs from the previous line by the presence of representatives of the touch screen, although the integrated QWERTY retained. The display is 2.8 inches, and the amount of internal memory is 8 GB. The device is based on a processor with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz. Another feature of this model is support for wireless technology, NFC, which recently began to gain popularity in the mobile market.
Is the death of Blackberry?
Don't forget that cell phones were as before iPhone and Android? Fundamentally cell phone users fell in 2 categories - those who wanted any phone they could get their hands on (remember Nokia) and most serious users, adults, who went as the Blackberry.
The Blackberry has been praised as a personal digital assistant. It makes it easy to keep a calendar, message and send mobile e-mail. Any person who has everyone had a Blackberry. President Obama a. Elaine had one on semi-Seinfeld meeting which took place Curb your enthusiasm, prompting Jerry to ask if it was "one of these persons from Blackberry" which would be the text and email in the middle of conversations. Even my father has one - and refuses to switch to Android or iPhone.
And while 2010 showed a net increase of sales of Blackberry, is what the phone does not enjoy the popularity that he was once. It is having to share time a floor with all fancy business smartphones keep throw at us.
All this leads me to ask the question: is the death of Blackberry?
Resistance of BlackBerry
No doubt, the Blackberry has hung around for some time. In fact, the first get out way back in 1999, the year that my high school diploma. And here I am 12 years old and heavier, more than 12 books and I still speak the Blackberry. That said, it must have a strong right points of sale? Something that puts in the competition…but rigid what is?
I've torn my brain for quite some time to try to answer this question. And after about an hour of flow through articles news and blogs Després, here's what I decided: the feature number one which puts Blackberry over its competition is its messaging capabilities. Emails fly faster BlackBerry for Blackberry to cpu to cpu. And the speed of the Blackberry messenger can match any other phone.
And that's it.
Weaknesses of the BlackBerry
I can describe the weaknesses of the Blackberry in two words: all the rest. OK, this is perhaps a bit of a stretch, but I would certainly argue that Blackberry is not followed with time for surfing the web, media and all the other things of recreation.
And when they have passed the million (or billion?) hype the release of the torch, they certainly earned some attention. But let's be - phone was a disappointment. In fact, it has been described by many as having performance very buggy. There is little doubt that anyone looking to surf the web and use various types of media will choose one of their other options of smartphone.
My conclusion
As mentioned previously, we have seen everyone of Obama President of the Elaine character to my father by using the Blackberry. And I would suggest that there is the problem. BlackBerry fails to reach the younger market share, collect. And while the iPhone and Android and others are being eroded by the young crow up, the Blackberry is stuck in the hands of aging.
What is do you see the issue here?
No, the Blackberry is not dead. But it is rapidly aging and unless the wire rim creators can find away to enter the head of our youth, the chances are he will die.

Review: Black Diamond Blackberry 9780 from Amosu (As Always)
NGR: BlackBerry Curve Apollo Caught in the Vietnamese Wild
Judging from the images, it looks like the phone is (stolen, smuggled, broken out, take your pick) from a manufacturing plant and given a photo and video session.
Disregarding the Vietnamese commentary, the thin smartphone still has the iconic QWERTY keyboard BBs are known for, but this time there is a touchscreen display with 480 x 360 resolution. The BlackBerry Curve Apollo features an 800MHz Marvell TAvor CPU MG-1 processor, a 5-megapizel camera at the back, and appears to run on BlackBerry OS 6.
Expect RIM to announce the launch of the BlackBerry Apollo–or BlackBerry Curve, depending on where you live–in the coming months, if not weeks.
