MSI shows tablets and thin-and-light laptops new

MSI is brandi new X-Slim notebook at Computex that are less than one inch thick, contain latest Intel and AMD processors and offer more than eight hours of battery life. It also shows the new tablets running Windows or Android at the trade show in Taipei, he announced this week.

460 X portable uses the second generation Core i7 chips Intel, part of the range of Sandy Bridge chips which began earlier this year of shipment. It weighs 1.9 kilograms and has a 14 screen inches and display Intel wireless technology, thanks to which pictures high definition can be wireless transmitted to televisions with specific receptors.

Manufacturers such as Dell, Lenovo and Samsung have already announced the portable thin and light using Sandy Bridge chips.

The laptop, the 370 X, contains a processor dual core E - 350 Advanced Micro Devices and a graphics card discrete to drive its 13.4 inch screen. It weighs 1.4 kg and its graphic system is intended for players.

The new tablets also have two different processors, in this case a design of arm and the other AMD.

110W WindPad is intended for business customers: it has an AMD Fusion processor running Windows 7 and contains 2 GB RAM, wireless capabilities and storage SSD (solid-state drive) up to 64 GB. It weighs 850 grams and offers six hours of battery life, MSI has said is the "longest any tablet with architecture Windows."

100 A WindPad is intended for consumers: it has a processor dual-core arm the latest version of Google's Android operating system and contains 1 GB RAM, wireless capabilities and SSD of 32 GB storage. It weighs 740 grams and can be run for eight hours between charges of the battery.

Two tablets have screens 10 inches that displays images with a resolution of 1200 by 800 pixels and can be connected to high-definition TV sets via a HDMI (High - Definition Multimedia Interface) port. The tablets also have USB ports.

NVIDIA Tablet shows running Quad - core Tegra Chip

NVIDIA showed a computer Tablet prototype running four-core of its Tegra processor and said products based on the new chip is put on sale from September.

Speaking to journalists before exhibition Computex Taipei Monday, CEO Jen - Hsun Huang Nvidia has also announced that Nvidia will be shipped to 10 million of its existing late June Tegra 2 dual-core processors.

Best known for its graphics chips, Nvidia has emerged as a force in the market of the arm-based processors, used in smartphones and tablets, where he is competing with more established as Qualcomm and Texas Instruments mobile chip vendors.

Dual-core Tegra 2 is used in the tab of the Samsung Galaxy, LG Optimus and the Acer transformer, which has a keyboard snap - on type people too to use only a touch screen.

Huang showed the chip quad-core, code-named Kal - El, a prototype tablet built by Nvidia to demonstrate its capabilities running. Tablets with Kal - El will be put on sale in September, followed by smartphones later this year, said Huang.

He did not say what vendors would make products, but it seems likely that they will be derived from existing Nvidia partners, which include Motorola, Dell, Sony and Asustek.

Huang said Kal - El will provide better graphics for gamers and non-gamers and run their existing applications with greater efficiency of energy, which should mean longer battery life.

"El Kal will do everything that can make the Tegra 2, but at lower power,"according to Huang.""

NVIDIA showed the chip runs a MadFinger game in which a bullet informed the Interior rolls around an arena dark. Shade by the bullet were rendered in real-time and more than 30 images per second, said Huang.

With all four cores in use, the tablet can run the game for four to six hours for a single charge, according to Huang.

Kal - El is a code name, and it is unclear if the final product will be called the Tegra 3. This could be tricky for Nvidia from a marketing perspective as he wants to insist on the fact that the chip has four cores.

Michael Rayfield, General Manager of the mobile business unit of Nvidia, replied if Kal - El tablets will be more expensive than the Tegra 2 of today tablets, that they will be offered a "huge" price range.

Most of tablets based the Tegra today run Google's Android operating, but Nvidia system is among the vendors with Microsoft to bring the next version of Windows of processors based on the arm.

Kal - El will be the first four-core chip tablet on the market, according to Huang. Its competitors are not remain immobile, however. Qualcomm and Texas Instruments have planned this week of press conferences where they are expected to discuss new products.

Kal - El was announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February. In the same show, Qualcomm announced a Snapdragon upcoming quad-core chip that she said will consume 65 percent less energy than the hearts of processor based on the arm. He did not say yet when this chip is put up for sale.

ViewSonic shows compressed using the new Intel's Atom chip

ViewSonic has unveiled a tablet of 10-inch running Android and Windows on the latest Atom Processor Intel, Oak Trail, at the Computex show.

10Pro ViewPad runs 2.2 Android and Windows 7 Professional, and users can switch between the two using an icon on the screen. Personal ViewSonic expect buyers to use Windows primarily for work by the largest number of applications available for the platform business.

The device will be valued between US$ 699 and $799 when it goes on sale in Taiwan in June, said Viewsonic. The company has yet to decide when the device will be sold in other countries.

10Pro ViewPad weighs 800 grams heavier than the iPad Apple 2 to approximately 600 grams. ViewSonic showed a briefing of news at the Computex Taipei Monday show.

It will be one of the first tablets to use chips from Oak Trail of Intel, which was unveiled in April. Apple, Motorola and most other Tablet makers now use produced by ARM processors because they are considered as more energy efficient.

Oak Trail, more formally known as the Z670 of the atom, is designed to give the battery life long of tablets, something that intel believes will help the company to capture a greater share of the compressed flea market.

In April, Intel stated that its customers are 35 design tablets with the chip, with some of those that go on sale early in May. Other tablets running Intel Oak Trail processor should also be shown to the Computex this week.

ViewSonic also showed off the coast of a tablet with a 7 inch screen, ViewPad x 7. It runs Android 3.0 on an NVidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor and weighs only 380 grams. The company plans to sell to Taiwan in July.
