Info on New HP Tablet Makes it to the Web

As I await the coming blizzard here in the Land of Oz, here's some info on the soon to be released slate type device from HP. The device, which is rumored to be called "Topaz" is going to hit the market sooner, as opposed to later. Matter of fact, it may very well be the reason HP purchased Palm last year.

As I've stated here before, the Palm Pre was a great idea for a smartphone. Unfortunately, Palm just didn't have the financial wherewithal to back it and it was left in the dust by the iPhone that was released just a week or 2 after the Pre hit the market.

After HP bought Palm last year, rumors began to swirl about a slate type device based on the Web OS platform that powered the Pre. The device has been under developement for some time, but now looks ready to hit the market fairly soon.

Here are the specs from PreCentral.net, however if this isn't enough, check out the full article that PreCentral has been able to put together.
