Washburn Guitars proudly announces the addition of the Solid Wood acoustic guitar series to its line-up. These naturally colored guitars are the perfect match for an experienced player looking for a full-bodied sounding instrument, with the durability and quality expected from a solid wood guitar.

The Solid Wood acoustics will be available in two body styles, dreadnought and classical. Both are crafted of solid spruce or cedar tops and mahogany necks with solid mahogany, rosewood or ovangkol back and sides. The dreadnought version will be complimented with rosewood fretboards and bridges, abalone rosettes, and mahogany or rosewood bindings.

The classical body shape will include low tension, nylon strings that offer greater spacing to accommodate the finger style playing that classical players utilize. Like most solid bodied acoustics, both styles will deliver full bodied tone that improves with age, but with the high quality look and feel you expect from a Washburn.

The Washburn Solid Wood Series will be available as standard versions or cutaways with Fishman Presys+ 501T electronics.

Washburn’s new Solid Wood acoustics will range from £459 to £649 RRP inc VAT and will be available from Q2 2011.
