In an introduction that makes their category leading performance and unmatched versatility accessible to a wide array of users, AKG is introducing the Perception Wireless at PLASA 2010 in London this August. The new wireless microphone system comes complete with 30 MHz bandwidth, a sports headset C 544 and a professional XLR output; features that cement the Perception Wireless as one of the most comprehensive systems in its price range.
The Perception Wireless is designed to accommodate entry-level audio technicians, although it has the capabilities to handle even the most difficult audio setups. Included in the Perception Wireless Series is the Vocal Set, with one handheld transmitter HT 45 and one stationary transmitter ST 45; instrumental set, which comes with both a stationary and pocket transmitter; sports set, with a stationary and pocket receiver as well as a C 5444 microphone; and a presenter set, which comes complete with a stationary receiver 45, a pocket transmitter 45, and a CK 55 L microphone.
The pocket transmitter – which is the smallest in its class – runs on a single AA battery, and is compatible with all AKG MicroMics. The HT 45 Handheld Transmitter gives users the ability to adjust the microphone levels and comes with a rugged wiremesh cap, and the SR45 Stationary Receiver delivers AKGs diversity system with a SMPS solution.
“The Perception Wireless represents the best in entry level wireless systems” said Thomas Umbauer, AKG’s Product Manager for the wireless microphone system. “It delivers a level of versatility that is normally only accessible with much more advanced, and higher priced, wireless microphone systems, but the learning curve is minimal and the performance is unbeatable.”
New to this model of Perception Wireless is the sports headset C 544. This new microphone headset uses a capsule and acoustics from the C 555 and comes complete with a professional mini XLR connector, a cardiod polar pattern and a rugged one-size-fits-all solution. AKG also included a windscreen and four droprings to make the complete set one of the most valuable wireless microphone systems available.
