The ASUS Padfone combines Smartphone with Tablet Dock

It is the hybrid of the gadget world and that asus computer manufacturer wants.

The company has demonstrated his device combination smartphone and tablet which is called the Padfone at the trade fair of Computex Taipei Monday.

The new combo phone-slate on Android is basically an Android combined with a touch tablet on companion dock has a rear slot for the holding of your smartphone. The concept is similar to Motorola Atrix 4 G, Android phone that switches between a combined display and a webtop display connected to an external keyboard and the monitor.

ASUS is currently showing off the coast of 4.3 inch phone and Tablet laptop dock, but the company said that it has not finalized the specifications of the Padfone, according to Engadget. Price and availability were not announced.

Be able to seamlessly switch between the smartphone and the wharf of the Tablet is the idea. For example, if you watch a video on your handset and the passage to the shelf, the device you will keep right where you you are interrupted.

ASUS, explains the tablet will also display content in its native resolution rather than simply upscaling the smartphone display. Larger battery of the tablet can also charge the smartphone component, and capabilities of 3 G phone will be available in compressed mode. In a promotional video Asus, calling features of smartphone voice were still available in compressed mode.

The smartphone and tablet will be both were oriented towards the front camera for video conferencing, they will share a SIM card for 3 G access and storage will also be shared between the two devices. The Padfone operating system appears to be a mystery, as the company has not confirmed that flavour Android he uses.

The presentation of the Computex society Chairman Jonney Shih clearly brandished a Tablet honeycomb. Whereas honeycomb is for tablets only, the device may result in ice cream Sandwich, running, but the next flavor Android, able to work the phones and tablets.

New Asus smartphone-Tablet combo is an interesting take on mobile devices hybrid. And the wharf of the Tablet seems more logical that slapping your phone in a shell of portable from a Tablet PC interface and telephone, are so similar.
