When Carmageddon first hit the streets in 1997, it caused quite a stir with the media - the idea of running over people with your car for points was unheard of back then and Carmageddon introduced it to the video gaming world. While the game was successful enough to spawn two sequels, Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now and Carmageddon TDR 2000, the game's third sequel was slated for a late 2005 release but it got canned. For all you Carmageddon fans out there, I've got some good news for you - Stainless Games, the original developers of Carmageddon are back in action with a sequel in the works.
