How to Add "Run as administrator" to the Context Menu of MSI Files

This will show you how to add Run as administrator to the context menu of all MSI files in Windows 7 and Vista.

You must be logged in as an administrator to be able to do this tutorial.

           2. To Add "Run as administrator" to the Context Menu of MSI Files

* Double click Add_MSI_Run_as_administrator than go Step 4.  

 3. To Remove "Run as administrator" from the Context Menu of MSI Files 

NOTE: This is the default setting.

* Double click Remove_MSI_Run_as_administrator than go Step 4.  

4. Click on Save, and save the .reg file to the desktop. 

5. Right click on the downloaded .reg file and click on Merge. 

6. Click on Run, Yes (UAC-Windows7) or Continue (UAC-Vista), Yes, and OK when prompted. 

7. When done, you can delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.
