Discus SL3 Laser Evaluation Beginning Next Week

SL3.jpg
I *love* lasers!  They allow me to do some amazing things & that means better treatment for my patients.  I use multiple lasers multiple times every day and there is no way I could go back to practicing without them.
So, needless to say, I'm excited to be able to start trying out the new Discus SL3 laser starting next week.  Small, portable, and powerful, the SL3 looks to be a nice diode laser in the midsize footprint category.
I'll post more after I've had chance to use it clinically.  Here is what Discus has to say about it:

Discus Dental is proud to introduce SL3TM, the only desktop diode laser that offers multiple high-end features at a low-end price. Engineered by the same innovators of the award-winning NV Microlaser, SL3 delivers advanced portability, convenience, and ease-of-use at a value the industry has been looking for.

The SL3 offers:

  • Disposable fiber-tips that eliminate the need to strip and score fiber before each use.
  • Cordless mobility between operatories with long-lasting battery operation.
  • A wireless foot pedal for convenient laser activation without the finger fatigue and loss of dexterity/visibility associated with finger activated lasers.

The robust feature set combined with the entry-level price point, and an 8-ce credit laser certification course makes SL3 an unparalleled and an amazing value.
